Welcome to Sprucecourt Public School

Sprucecourt Public School

Dear Sprucecourt Families,

Welcome back to school. We hope you had an amazing break.Over the summer, our caretaking staff has been working tirelessly to get the school looking neat and tidy, and it looks great.

The first day of school for all students is Tuesday September 4.Please meet at the back of the school at 8:45AM.Teachers will be outside to meet with their students. The entry bell will ring at 8:55AM for students to enter the school. This year, dismissal is at 3:05PM for students in KG and Grade 7/8 and at 3:20PM for students in Grades 1-6.All students in Grades KG-3 must be released to an adult, unless being picked up by an older sibling.

On the first day of school you should receive a Welcome Package. Please take the time to review the contents of the package and return the forms that require your signature as soon as possible so that we can update our records.

The safety of our staff and student is always a priority for us at Sprucecourt. If you are driving your children to school, please be vigilant as there are a number of students who walk to school. We also have many students who use the school bus to get to school so please be mindful of this.Toronto Police will be carefully monitoring traffic safety outside our school during the first week.

At Sprucecourt we do our best to keep you informed of what is happening in and around the school. If you don’t already do so, follow us on Twitter @Sprucecourt as it will give you a snap shot of the amazing learning taking place in our school. Also, be sure to check out the following link at www.tdsb.on.ca/About-Us/Innovation/Welcome-Back for some great resources available from our school board.
